We wish to advise of some key dates and information relating to the new Government JobKeeper incentive.
Key Dates
From 20th April employers can enrol to receive JobKeeker payments for eligible employees.
Accountancy Services can enrol for this on your behalf, however please note that charges will apply to your next invoice.
Alternatively you can enrol via the ATO Business Portal with your MyGovID.
Payments for the fortnightly JobKeeper incentive will begin to be paid from 4th May.
Eligible employees may be entitled to receive back pay from 30th March, provided applications are lodged by 26th April and JobKeeper payments are made to eligible employees for 30th March to 26th April by the end of April.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the JobKeeper Entitlement, the following criteria is to be met :

· Employed at least 1 eligible employee at 1.03.2020 |
· Employees are employed for fortnights you claim for |
· Business faced a 30% fall in turnover |
> Based on March & prior year comparison |
> Projection of April turnover & prior year comparison |

· Employed by you |
· Agree to be nominated by you (can only be nominated by 1 employer) |
· At 1.03.2020 were permanent full or part time or long-term casual (at least 12months) |
· At least 16 years of age |
· Australian Citizen, Permanent Visa Holder or Special Category Visa Holder |
· Not in receipt of Dad/Partner pay or Australian worker compensation |
Eligible Business Associates |
· Not employed by you |
· Actively engaged in business as at 1.03.2020 |
· Are a sole trader, partner in the partnership, adult trust beneficiary, or a shareholder or director of the company |
· At least 16 years of age |
· Australian Citizen, Permanent Visa Holder or Special Category Visa Holder |
· Not in receipt of Dad/Partner pay or Australian worker compensation |

Submit Applications
To proceed with these applications, you will be required to :
- Ask your eligible employees if they agree to be nominated by you as their primary employer. If yes, then :
- Provide them with a JobKeeper Employee Nomination form
- Ask your eligible business associate (only one may be nominated per entity) if they agree to be nominated by you as their primary employer. If yes, then:
- Provide them with a JobKeeper Business Participants Nomination form
- Have the forms returned urgently – forms must be received before application can be lodged
- Forward copies of all forms back to us (if we are enrolling on your behalf)
** Records of these forms must be kept for 5 years**
